Rachel Feinerman
Everyone is welcome into my classes and sessions.
Everyone deserves:
-A functional, efficient, articulate and strong body with which to engage in life.
-To have a pain-free, stable, organized physical practice.
-To feel the sense of truly inhabiting their own physical selves.
Together we will:
-Undo any antagonism between self and body.
-Increase your physical strength, control, and balance.
-Focus on all you can do and let that translate to being able to carry yourself with a sense of emotional agency.

Pilates
In 2021, Rachel started studying at The Kane School at Kinected for her Pilates certification and is currently on staff at Kinected as a Senior Instructor and teacher trainer. She is an instructor and guest lecturer at The Movement Study. Select certifications and specialties include: Neuro Studio Level 2 Trainer, MSTR Scar Therapy, and Hypermobility.

She has been teaching Pilates and Anatomy and Stress Management courses at CUNY's Bronx Community College since Fall 2022.

Rachel came to Pilates with more than 20 years of dance teaching and performance in New York. Anatomy has always been a driving force in her teaching from initial study at Barnard College through certification in Simonson technique, an injury-preventative and scaffolded dance teaching methodology, through performance work based in qi-gong and yoga techniques and, finally, certification at the Kane School. Consistent and persistent curiosity about the body has led her to teaching Pilates through the lens of injury rehabilitation, pain management, and stress management. Rachel often works with adults along the hypermobility spectrum, along with dancers, athletes and absolute beginning movers. Whether integrating techniques as varied as qi-gong, neurological-driven exercises, or scar therapy, Rachel always tries to bring a body to a calm, efficient, and pain-free state for luscious movement.
Each individual body can feel like an endless puzzle. The good news is, I love puzzles.
